MICKEY FISHER

Playwright

John has been a professional actor both in New York and Los Angeles for more years than he would care to mention. John played "Tom Sawyer" in the Broadway musical BIG RIVER and was nominated for a Drama Desk award. On the big screen John can be seen in 17 feature films including APOLLO 13, DIGGSTOWN, THE GRINCH and CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS. On TV he has guested on THE WEST WING, BOSTON LEGAL,CLOSE TO HOME , WITHOUT A TRACE and ER among others. He received an MFA in Acting from California State University, Long Beach. As an educator John was a lecturer at Loyola Marymount University for five years. John is now a tenured associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Fullerton. John recently received a presidential citation from Dr. Milton Gordan in the area of Scholarly and Creative Activities for his work in the new play BATTLE HYMN by renowned playwright James Leonard, Jr. which had it's premiere in Los Angeles. John has been a guest artist giving lectures and workshops on acting all over the country. He lives in South Pasadena, CA with his wife Mary Beth, stepson Jake and daughter, Kira.

Mickey Fisher is the creator of the new television series EXTANT, coming to CBS this summer starring Halle Berry and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. As a playwright he has written and directed a number of original works for Jenny Wiley Theatre and The Paramount Arts Center in Kentucky and other theaters around the midwest. He's made three feature films, THE KING OF IRON TOWN, SUMMER NUTS and AUTUMN MIXTAPE, and spent two years riding a three-wheeled motorcycle across the country, writing articles and shooting videos, for the Can-Am Spyder.

Director

Kari is very honored to be involved with REPLICA. Having worked with Julie and John in The Diary of Anne Frank, Kari was thrilled at the opportunity to work with them again. Kari is a professional director and educator who has been teaching and directing in the LA/Orange County area for the past seventeen years. Kari majored in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Theatre Education and earned a Bachelor’s Degree, a Teaching Credential in English/Drama, Master’s Degree in Education, and MFA in Directing. Kari has extensive experience as a professional director working on musicals, plays, adaptations and new works. In addition to directing, Kari has also worked as an assistant director and dramaturg for both the Chance and South Coast Repertory. Some of Kari’s favorite projects include: Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at the Chance Theatre (Ovation Recommended, LA Times Critics’ Pick), the one man show adaptation of Judevine (Vine Theatre, San Diego), Urinetown (Walnut Hill, Boston), A Streetcar Named Desire (CSUF), and the production and award-winning remount of 365 Days, a historical account of medics and their patients during Vietnam. Most recently, Kari directed the West Coast Premiere of Lysistrata Jones at the Chance Theatre and will be directing Arthur Miller’s The American Clock at Citrus College. MATT SCARPINO

Matt holds a Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design and Technical Direction from California State, Fullerton. For the past 13 years he has worked as a Professor of Design, Scenic Designer, Technical Director, and Art Director. In 2012 Matt started Sets Unlimited offering design and production services for the Theatre and Event Industry.

As a graduating senior at California State University, Fullerton, Katherine is thrilled to be participating as an integral part in the production process of Replica. While working towards a Bachelors of Arts with an emphasis in directing, some of her recent collegiate credits include assistant directing CSUF's production of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None (opening spring 2014), assistant directing and stage managing the staged reading of Roof of the World: a new play by D. Tucker Smith (2013), as well as stage managing and assistant directing CSUF's production of Kenneth Lonergan's Lobby Hero (2013).
